Darien Lake

Darien Lake is always a good time, and this year we found out that it can even be fun in the pouring rain!  First thing we did when we got there was to buy me a hat and Michael some shoes that had enough traction to keep him upright on the wet pavement.  The upside to a wet theme park is an empty theme park!  We were able to walk onto any ride and to us that's a good day!

We got discounted tickets through Elsa's smarty farty class that could only be used on one day, so we had the pleasure of running into a lot of friends throughout the day.

 

It's hard to pick a favorite moment from our day, but the 2 that easily come to mind are the sea lions and the 10:30 pm laser show in the pouring rain.  Half way through the show the heavens opened and it was raining so hard we might as well have jumped into pools, we were so wet.  That didn't stop the kids from dancing in the rain.  It was such a great day!
