Soooooo, track started again...

The 2013 track Season is upon us, and the leap to Varsity was apparently an easy one for Elsa and Tess.  I prepped Elsa, telling her that her goal should be to try to be competitive, but not to expect to win many races.  I wasted my breath because these two 8th graders are tearing through the track and claiming 1st places left and right!

Elsa coming in strong for the 3000m, taking 1st place in her very 1st Varsity race! (11:55.34)

Tess came in strong and won her 1st race of her Varsity career with the 800m! (2:31.64)

She also won her next race, the 1500m! (5:21.54)

She cleared 4'7" this track meet.  Beat her personal best by 3"

This 4X800 relay team took a solid first place for the Eagles! (11:06)

They've run 3 more track meets with 1st places in the following:

Elsa, Tess and two others: Distance Medley Relay (12:52.04)
Elsa: 3000m (11:46.24)
Elsa: High Jump (4'10")
Elsa, Tess and two others: 4x400 (4:46.34)
Elsa and Tess only: 1500m relay (combined time of 10:53)
Tess: 1500m (5:11.04)

Not a 1st place win, but a NEW VARSITY RECORD:
Elsa, Tess and two others: 4x800 (10:46.7)
