The Foyer Makeover!

I have always loved the stone floor in our foyer, and the beautiful wood piano, but the entry room was in no way suited for our family of 6.  We tried to keep the shoes somewhat organized in crocks, but even those were overflowing.  I came across a Craigslist listing for a beautiful Pottery Barn Olivia Bench with the optional baskets and cushion for an absolute steal!  The cushion still had the tags attached, total bonus!  When we went to pick up the bench she also had these Pottery Barn Havana Rolling Baskets which we just had to have.  Thankfully she sold those to us for a great price!

So, so, so cluttered.

I hated walking into our house and being greeted with this mess.  

AFTER:

I love it, and with all the space we are no longer standing on top of each other to get our shoes on or off.  After moving the piano into the living room, and the crocks into the laundry room we were ready to improve our space.  We pared down the shoes and now everyone either has a basket or a cubby in the bench to hold their shoes, and the rolling baskets are perfect for each of us to have a space for things like little umbrellas, scarves, hats and the like.  We should have done this a long time ago!
