1st Week Home

Well, we made it home and the first week was a good week. Meems was able to stay for a few days and that was a blessing. The kids had 2 days of school and have been on holiday since Thursday. They are excited to go back to school and really get in the swing of things.

Michael re-joined band this year and will continue his spot in percussion. His resource room teacher has really done a wonderful job with his schedule this year and we are very excited about his aide and the structure.

Elsa starts her first year in band and she is pretty excited to play the clarinet. This is also the first year she will travel from class to class and it is amazing to think she is old enough for all of this. A good friend of mine took Elsa and her 2 friends to Darien Lake yesterday for her birthday party. We had been planning this all year and were thankful that it still took place even though I was not able to take her. They had a wonderful time and did not return until midnight. Everyone was tuckered out, but all agreed it was worth it!

That same good friend came back out and picked up the kids for the Labor Day festivities today. I am so blessed to be surrounded with such good friends.

The 3-D sidewalk chalk was a big hit here and worked just like it was advertised...the kids had a lot of fun making all types of creations.

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend!
