Elsa's All-County 2012

Elsa has been preparing for All-County for quite sometime now.  Some of the fun is getting out of school on Friday, practicing all day with the other participants, and then heading back on Saturday for more practice and then a concert in the afternoon.  So it was a huge disappointment for her when she woke up Friday morning with a fever, terrible sore throat, and kind of just stumbling around.  I had my own ideas of what might be the problem, so we started packing up the little boys at 7am to take Cha-Cha to the Urgent Care.  I was hoping it wasn't strep, and that they might be able to give her some meds to help her feel better and maybe, just maybe we might get her on that 11:40am bus to attend Friday practice for All-County.

It was strep :(

After contacting the director and explaining the situation he agreed to let her come on Saturday if she was feeling better.  Thankfully 24 hours on antibiotics did her a world of good and she was able to go!  She was tired, but she very much enjoyed the day.

She was super excited about wearing her new outfit...which included her first little heels.  It was a wonderful concert.  So many talented kids in this county!  She is feeling better and better each day...
