Happy Memorial Day!

Today has been a wonderful day of family, friends, and remembrance of why we as Americans are free. We started the morning off with the local town parade. We had the pleasure of watching with the Schilkes and even the McNeils stopped to stay with us:


After the parade we enjoyed the local park with the Schilkes while we waited for the BBQ chicken stand to be prepared for customers. Much fun was had by all. As soon as we got the chicken we all headed out for our picnic by the stream. The chicken was fantastic. I think Michael ate a whole chicken and a half!

The kids got to play in the stream for about an hour and everyone left with big smiley faces and sun burned shoulders.
