Elsa Makes the Cookies!

We had a great day today! The kids went to swimming lessons this morning and Michael was pleased to announce that the pool was warm enough for him and he learned how to float. Elsa learned some new strokes and just loves to be with all the people!

We left after work for the park to try out our new bubble system...it didn't work as advertised...but it did work. The idea is to get bubbles right? Well...mission accomplished!

The kids did their weeding duties and then we had some dinner. Elsa was still hungry and decided to make some cookies. But she wanted to do it from beginning to end all by herself...and she did! Even the portions and flattening them down.

Here is Michael and I waiting for some cookie dough...yum!

Elsa was nervous about the oven but shouldn't have been...she did a good job of not burning anything. She did come at it from every angle until she settled on the left side of the oven. :)

Elsa's arm got tired from the stirring, carrying, and transferring and she took a quick break to stretch her arm right when Michael leaned in to see her process and she accidently bopped him in the head with the spatula. No one could stop laughing. I love seeing them with such joy on their faces.

We LOVE the cookie dough...and it ended up being better than the actual cookies. Elsa relied on me for the timing on the cookies and I botched it up. I couldn't remember if peanut butter cookies needed to be a bit soft before taking them out or if they are the kind that need to cook fully. I guessed wrong. :(

But she didn't care one bit. She was so very proud!
