The Series Has Come to an End
3 months of preparing for this race, and it's finally over! It was a great day to run a half marathon, and she ran it well. Meema and Peepa weren't able to come out, but JonDavid came with me and we had a fun time cheering on Elsa and Tess!
Celebrating the fact that she just finished her 10th mile and each step after that became the longest distance she has ever run! It always amazes me how much energy and spunk she has even into her higher miles. JonDavid and I watched as she went out of her way during her 12th mile to jump in all the puddles on the side of the road. Ha!
1st place trophy for having the most points in her age group for the series and another for 1st place in her age division for the half marathon. Her hard work and dedication really paid off.
It was a great day, and now these two kiddos have a great base for their track season which started last week. They will both be running on Varsity this year and I look forward to seeing them grow together in their races. Elsa, I am so proud of what you have accomplished in such a little amount of time. Keep up the good work, and keep giving Him the glory!

JD handed many items off to her during this race :)
A little more than a mile to go!
Finished strong with a time of 1 hour, 39 minutes and 34 seconds!
1st in her age group and 2nd female to cross the line!
1st place trophy for having the most points in her age group for the series and another for 1st place in her age division for the half marathon. Her hard work and dedication really paid off.
She also got a medal for participating in all 4 races in the series:
What a blessing to have a best friend who is fast like you. Glad they can share in this together!
